5 stone to lose … the lipotrim way

One dieter and her dog …

We went to the vet’s this morning to get our two dogs, Bessie and Minnie, blood tested for rabies for the pet passport scheme. All part of our move abroad.

The vet took the blood samples, gave them an injection each and then looking at Minnie, asked, “Why is the black and white dog so overweight?”.

We were mortified. I let it slip that we call her “Fatty”. We know Minnie is overweight and we’ve tried to “slim” her down in the past but to not much avail.

The vet brought them over to the scales. The dogs are Shih-tzus and should be 6kg. Bessie was 6kg. Minnie was 9.3kg.

I felt for Minnie because she’s in the same situation I was when I started this diet i.e. 15 stone with 5 stone to lose, 50% overweight, obese.

So she’s on a reduced calorie diet now. Two meagre portions of chicken nuts a day. Bessie can carry on eating as normal much like my boyfriend.

I’ve put a ticker for Minnie on this blog and I’ll let you know how she’s getting on. I’ve multiplied the number of kilos she needs to lose by ten because tickerfactory has minimums in place. So she has 3.3kg to lose, not 33kg.

Poor dog. I never thought there’d be two of us in the house on Lipotrim. It’s for the better though. She’ll feel great afterwards.
